1. Say about days and months
Before learning how to ask about the date in Vietnamese, we will learn to how to say days and months first.
Unlike English or other languages, numbers are used to indicate days in a week and months in a year in Vietnamese.

From the above sentences, we can have the analysis as below:
Hôm nay/Today, Ngày mai/Tomorrow, Ngày 8 tháng 4/the eighth of April are acted as the subject in the sentence
Là/to be verb is acted as the verb in the sentence
Thứ mấy/which day is acted as the object in the sentence

3. Say about dates in month
In lesson 3, we already know how to say numbers in Vietnamese. “Ngày” is combined with numbers starting from 1 to 31 to indicate the dates in month. However, for date from 1-10, mùng/or mồng is added before them to make it sound more natural.
For example:
- On st / 2nd: 2nd
- On th / 10th: 10th
- Day 15: 15th
- Day 31: 31st
To say both date and month: Unlike English, Date is put before month in Vietnamese. Therefore, instead of saying “Tháng 4 ngày mùng 8” (April 8th), it is said “Ngày mùng 8 tháng 4”.

Ngày mấy/ngày bao nhiêu/which date is acted as the objective in the question
