The road to a Women's World Cup title begins for Team USA today, and they will see themselves as the favorite in the tournament. One of the biggest strengths for USWNT is their front line, maybe the best they've ever had. Abby Wambach is a soccer legend, but the media has eaten up the ascension of two young forwards in Alex Morgan and Sydney Leroux. If that wasn't enough, enter Christen Press, the thoughtful, poetic California girl who's ready to stake her claim for soccer stardom. Press may get the start for USA, then come off for Wambach sometime in the second half. Press has been chasing international soccer for some time now, but has been patiently waiting behind some of the game's biggest names. But after breaking records at Stanford and spending time playing overseas, Press got the call in 2012 and has never looked back. Look for her speed and ball skills to show up in a Vine near you this tournament. Press didn't take the conventional road to get here, but she's on the squadin Canada and ready to make an immediate impact.(Photo: Getty) Click through to learn about Press, her family, and her soccer career:
