According to the internal memo from Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer revealed by ATD, Microsoft’s chief research and strategy officer Craig Mundie has moved to a new role called “Senior Advisor to the CEO.” Microsoft describes his new role as follows, “In this role, he works on key strategic projects within the company, as well as with government and business leaders around the world on technology policy, regulation and standards,” Steve lauded in Craig’s efforts in his past role and announced that he will retire when he turns 65, in 2014.
